someone said it looked like the arizona brown spider?

but I had a nest in my house - I was killing 3 of these a night for about a month!
what is this spider
This male spider (note the swollen pedipalps) is in the family Agelenidae (funnel web/grass spiders) and the genus Tegenaria - see http://tinyurl.com/4ec63e7 for an example. Some of these can be quite large, with a leg span exceeding 75 mm. Although large specimens can deliver a painful bite if mishandled, they are not dangerous to humans.
