CLOSED: what kind of spider is this?

brisbane, Australia

Hello. I've found that these spiders have moved into my home recently and are multiplying like mad. they are very small, red, have a big bum and curl up in a ball on contact. they have millions of tiny babies in small round sacs too. im concerned as i have small children, are they dangerous?

These could be red house spiders (Nesticodes rufipes); they are in the same family (Theridiidae) as the redback spider, but do not appear to be dangerous to humans. See http://tinyurl.com/4brpfnj
