HUGE bug found in my house help identify

Shawnee Mission, KS

I was in my basement one night watching a movie when i saw something wriggling on the wall. I jumped up and hit the light and what i saw was amazing. This "bug" was a solid 4-5 inches from antennae to antennae. Id like some help identifying this critter, are they poisonous? Anything i need to be worried about?

This is a house centipede, Scutigera coleoptrata; they are general predators on other small invertebrates, mostly insects. They can deliver a painful (but not dangerous) bite of mishandled - see http://tinyurl.com/364hj for more information.
