Brownville, NY(Zone 4a)

Anybody else a runner here? And no, running to the bathroom doesn't count, lol.

Washington, DC(Zone 7a)

Jog my memory. Why can't we run to the bathroom. Running down my leg. :)

If this old granny started running, inevitably my rolls would take the lead and I would quite literally roll on down the road! LOL!

Bucky, I used to run. I loved it too. I was running 3 miles a day and never felt better.

oh, ha ha zeb :0)

I've just started running again, after a few years off. In high school I used to be able to knock off 5 miles like it was nuthin'....those days are long gone now, sigh.

justmeLisa - did you have problems getting into a rhythm with your breathing? that seems to be my biggest problem now. It's like my body is willing to do the work, but I'm not getting enough air.

i find walking's better, it's more relaxing and actually better for your legs and feet. a brisk walk where you raise you heart rate for more then half an hour is one of the best exercise regimes you can do!

YES! bucky...I did have to learn "how to breathe". I remember my first attempt at making the whole 3 miles without stopping, I thought I was going to drop!!lol! But I pressed on and kept telling myself.."okay..to the next mailbox..then I would get to the next mail box and see another 'goal' down the road to meet. After the "I am going to drop feeling" my second wind kicked in and I made it! After that it was great!
