2011 NORTH CENTRAL TX RU **MAY 1ST** (TRADE LISTS)

Arlington, TX

LOL its not back pain just sticky fingers and frustration. I will see if I can get some seed this summer.
C

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Cool C,
I knew what ya meant. My use of the word 'back' was to say 'in return', lol. The seeds are tiny... Are they like dust? I am familiar with dust seed. In my experience, the micro seeds need to dry on the stem... And in sowing put right on top of the soil, or with only a dusty soil covering them.

The real trouble with these kinds of seed is in collection. The window of time optimun to collect could be very tight. Too soon, sticky; to late, already dropped :-/. Either case is a bummer. Do you ever see any volunteers around your main plant? Acanthus' are good about producing a few.

:-D

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

I have finally posted my trade list above: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=8437680

Don't have much and realize most things are already traded.

To clarify my "wish list," I'm posting a photo to explain what I'm working on (forever, I think) and need plants suitable to plant among rocks on sides of dry creek in new section of butterfly garden.

Thanks.

Glenna, please save me some of the llama manure and coffee grounds, I will have Ruellia nudiflora ans Lyreleaf sage for your dry creek, they both spread nicely.
Josephine.

Arlington, TX

Glenna how about zexmenia, it can take drought.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Glenna, I have some pink Katie's ruellia that spreads nicely. It's not vastly invasive, but it does spread. It's also not the tall ruellia. These are short and do well in sun or shade.

Cam.... Do you have extra Plantain, I would love to have a couple. I also want a bag those hose plant ties! Look at my list and see what I can bring you.

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Steadycam3, I would like some cedar sage, if you have any left.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

I will put you down for cedar sage, Dennis and plantain for you Sheila and the plant ties.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Note I have added to my HAVE list plant ties made from panty hose legs. 100 per bag. They are strong, durable, inconspicuous and flexible to be gentle on plants. I would not be without them. Note, I have sterilized the ones Im offering by boiling 212*F. I dont do this for my own but for others I thought this was appropriate.
