Hi ALL! I had planned on being there but we live in Ben Wheeler and had several tornados go directly over our house Tuesday evening and although we are fine we have significant property damage and I will be on clean-up duty this weekend. I guess instead of planting and digging I'm going to be the chain saw woman PLUS it's supposed to rain Sunday and my son and I'm a little tornado/bad weather shy right now and want to be close to home.
It ripped down an entire 150 year old tree line across the street, several of my HUGE oak trees were destroyed and it ripped the tops out of some, it ripped apart homes and barns for a 10 mile area so we're just thankful to be alive. It also sucked up a bunch of my seedlings. I had a bag of fertilizer on my back porch, top rolled down and it was still intact but found 2 acres away next to my neighbors house.
This is a photo taken off my back porch at 4 in the afternoon just before the rotation.
I'm sorry to miss and I hope everyone has a great time.

Mindy...You do have a great neighborhood sounded like. Glad everyone was ok, it is definately understandable where your priorities lie. I hope to see you in the fall, I won't make the E Tx RU this time.
Careyana...Sorry you won't make it but we would rather you be safe than drive that distance when you are tired. Hope to see you down the garden row!
We are supposed to have storms tomorrow here in Paradise and in Arlington. So what do we do? Cancel or carry on and hope there's enough of a break in the weather ... ? I'm getting ready to come anyway.

Well it won't be cancelled unless we have severe weather (warnings). So bring your unbrella and a poncho or something just in case! You know we have the pavillion to get under in rainy weather. My husband is going to be at home and will monitor the weather for us.
Sheila, my cousin, Vicki, will not be able to attend. I'm still planning to be there, but my husband says not if we're having bad weather. So, we'll see.

The weather shouldn't be so bad.... Just rain, (which we LOVE! and depend on), and there is a very large pavilion. Definitely school or work goes on as usual with weather like we will have today.
Just bring your raincoats and sweaters, the temps will be dropping. Traffic should be lighter too...

HEY GUYS, I got to apologize but I am sick as a dog and cant stay out the BR! I was so looking forward to seeing you guys. SYBIL I sure hate to miss meeting you. Sheila please dont be upset with me. I will mail everyone their plants, no problem, I think I have everyone's address as I have sent you something one time or another ... you too Pat.
