Sign me up...I am First!! lol
Just great Burd...I am so jealous you have some place like this so close!
Pipe Creek Wildlife Area part 5
Great pictures, Burd.
Another series of fine shots, Burd. I like your Black-crowned night Heron shot. A few weeks ago, I visited Bombay Hook NWR in Delaware. I was driving along a dirt road and saw these white spots off in the distance sitting in a tree. I thought wow, the Snowy Egrets are back. When I put my 500mm lens on them, I then realized they were Black-crowned Night Herons. I say, they, because I counted well over 20 of them ... at about 8:00 a.m. in the morning. I must have spent an hour taking photos of them.
Thanks all! Well I believe its getting close to wrapping up this thread soon...the weather here has not been cooperative at all. I will add a couple more images. Linth, when I seen the B-c NH there were 4 of them but the lighting was at the wrong angle and I could not move to a better location for photo's without going swimming. lol It will be Warbler Time real soon and once I get going on those everything else fades out for a bit.
Here are a couple of Ring-billed Gull shots that I was really happy with.
I love all your birds...But I can't wait for your warbler shots!!!
Nice!
Great pictures. got a real kick out of the tree swallows & have only seen a kestral in flight.
Wonderful pics Burd!
One terrific series Burd! Love the Swallows 'personality'. lol
At least you got a pic of the Kestrel...I just keep seeing them and never get a shot! Swallows are great and nice gnatcatcher...they are tough ones to get!
Burd At 80' with the Kestrel, great shot!!
Love the Tree Swallows pics and the Gnatcatcher, in fact all of them.
