This spider is between 2 - 3 inches diameter, including legs. She has been hanging outside my porch here in Southwest Florida. Every evening she appears and makes a web. Every morning she "eats" the web back up and disapears until the evening. Thank you so much!
CLOSED: Can someone PLEASE help me identify this spider?
This is an orb-weaving spider (family Araneidae) known as the tropical orb weaver (Eriophora ravilla); all orb weavers are harmless to humans. See http://tinyurl.com/22qdy6o for detailed information.
Thank you so much! I clicked your link, and sure enough, that was her. Very cool! I looked all yesterday online trying to find the darn thing, but I couldn't. Thanks again!
