HollyAnnS, I particually like the African milk bush in your picture!
mjsponies, glad to hear that you are finally done with all the fencing work. more room for vines. lol
It seems as if spring is happening in your area, cover those plants for sure.
That is a great price for your new Lipstick plant, they were $35 at my nursery.
New Scadoxus Puniceus African Amaryllis from e-bay
Tropical Garden # 94
Thanks for checking in Dave, good to know you are OK.
I want one of those Amaryllis!!!
I think, when you all post your gorgeous and rare plants, you should post WHERE you got it, so we can GET ONE, TOO! There are those of us who didn't even know these beauties EXISTED!
Homer, I just love that AeAe. I see you have promoted it from the guest bathroom now.
Debra, that amaryllis is fantastic! I'd call that a Punk Rock Amaryllis.
One guy was killed trying to get pictures of the tsunami. Some boats in Santa Cruz were damaged, but the wave hit at low tide, so there was room to rise, I guess.
Haven't heard much more about the West Coast.
Kay, will send you the one on the right, with some other things I have special for you. My first spring Crocus were blooming today. That is a good sign.
I have cried everytime I saw the news today. I can't believe how bad things are happening around the world. My piddly life problems are nothing compared to the disasters there have been for the past five years.
This tiny baby something called xanadu popped up and gave me a smile this am..
Hi, Deb! You're gonna send WHAT right out?!!!
Yes, I, too have been sad all day with regard to the tsunami - I have a dear friend, in Lee's Summit, Mo. Her D.I.L. is from Japan and the family still lives there - I pray they are safe!

Good morning, everyone! Prita, see - that cures me of wanting that Amaryllis - LOL!
WONDERFUL! Welcome home!!!!
Thanks Kay good to be home!!!
I've got another obsession - finding a good-sized plant of Thunbergia grandiflora 'alba' - I have been searching online, but NO LUCK! Any one know of a source?
Kay, I can send you cuttings later on in summer, or a smaller rooted plantet, but nothing "big". I'm sure you know tho they grow really fast. Although " Alba' doesn't grow as fast as the blue.
Martha, I have tried cuttings from a couple of folks - I can root the blue, but not the white.
I'll root it...but you'll have to be patient !! It will be later in the summer ..........LOL...it's gotta grow enough for me to take the cuttings from...Thank Goodness the frost we had last night didnt' get it...Niche thick canopy of trees above it.
My sweet Martha, I'll find a plant - I appreciate your constant generosity.
Hello Everyone!!
Today was a perfect spring day, it seems as if we survived another bad winter without anyone dying of boredom.
homer1958, you have some amazing plants! I am very jealous of the AeAe banana plant. Thanks for sharing.
Joeswife, I am glad that your baby zanadu made you smile today, remember to post another picture after it has grown some.
pensacolagarden, welcome home!! Glad to know that you are well. What do you have popping up there?
This Peruvian wild petunia is just now starting to show color, I will post another picture later when it's in full bloom.
Wow Rita what a beauty.........and I am popping up some tulips it seems winter is over and spring is on its way.
So many amazing and beautiful plants! Prita luv your variegated cast iron plant. Another one on my wishlist. Also does the Ruellia colorata make seeds? It is lovely!!
Very nice Prita... That red is INTENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful tropicals I agree. Love that red , too. Kay, I found another chalice vine cutting really going good. I will send one of them to you and one then you can throw the other one away. I am looking for your alba thunbergia .
I sorta cleaned out a flower bed north fence today. All the prennials were smiling up at me. Some need thinning big time.
Flamenco brug tree went outside to the front porch today. It is not getting past 36 the rest of the month so that willl be okay out there I hope. I sure wish I knew if Rangoon Creeper was alive or not. Had to cut all the moon vines away from each other as they had entwined terribly downstairs, and setosa and I. Linderhiemer were choking the alba out. *sniff* no wonder the blooms were aborting at bloom time and not opening up!
looks like a Crinum to me Debra?...not for sure though!
Everything's lookin' good, Deb! Yes, that's a Crinum - maybe Powellii.
Debra,
Which philo were you trying to get? Everything is really growing and blooming down here, even some of the azeleas. Had 38 last night, so hopefully that was our last cold snap. I will be glad when easter gets here, then I will start putting things out.
Paula .. this philo.. HUGE MONSTER Philodendron MCDOWELLI-2-4' FOLIAGE AROID
Oh well, it would just take up too much rrom if it gets that big... LoL
Gee, I wonder which one of the crinum looking things is the red amaralyrris from my daughter two years ago I planted too deep?
Spose I could uproot them and see? *shrug* I been up ending lots of things this weekend.. getting down to 30 tonite, snow in the am and 50 for the high it says tommorrow. *sigh*
