Is it possible to pull out a Mexican Petunia?

Can I pull it out and not get new shoots, or kill them and plant a new bush later. I want evergreens to simplify.

No - they spread by seeds, rhizomes and wherever the limb of the plant touches the ground - I fight this battle constantly!
