Elm tree, How to kill it, large stump left.

We had a large Elm close to our patio. It was breaking up the concrete so we are trying to kill it. It is down to a 3 foot stump now. It sent out shoots all over our yard. We have drilled holes in it. Poured stump killer. Tried rock salt which was suggested. I am just praying no shoots come up. Spring is near.

If it were mine I would put brush killer on any sprouts.

Rock salt will help ensure that next to nothing else will ever grow there, either.

No particular brand. You will find it at Lowe's, Home Depot, the Coop, etc.
