CLOSED: Mystery cat #3
This is a tiger moth (Lepidoptera: Erebidae; subfamily Arctiinae) caterpillar, possibly that of a virgin tiger moth, Grammia virgo - see http://tinyurl.com/4q6ncb2 for an example. Like many other members of this group, caterpillars of this species can be highly variable in appearance.
