Spring in New Bern

New Bern, NC(Zone 8a)

I first saw these beautiful trees in January 2004 when we first moved to New Bern. There was snow on the ground and this garden was all pink and white. Today it was just a beautiful early spring moment.

These are Japanese Flowering Apricots - Prunus Mume Peggy Clark, in the small garden just behind the visitors' center at Tryon Palace in New Bern. There were bees galore on the flowers but my point-and-shoot camera didn't get them.

There is a fee for most of Tryon Palace, but this little garden is always open at no charge.

How pretty, it looks like a lovely place to wander in Spring.

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

Some of my blue berries are fixing to bloom, and that is not good. Its way to early, This has been a crazy year.
I would love to fix a grape vine on a arbor like one at Tryon Palace. I love the flowers there.
If you ever get a chance its worth the trip in the spring to Orton Plantation to see the flowers, if you have never been there.

Its beautiful here today.
