What are these called? I have been seing them for a couple years now and have no idea what they are.
It's a long bright red body with white specks and black legs and antennae. Overall length of the bug is about half an inch.
CLOSED: CLOSED: red and black insect?
This is a nymph of an assassin bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Reduviidae), they are general predators on other small arthropods and thus usually considered beneficial.
Thanks.
