squirrels r driving me "nuts"

I keep planting seeds and bulbs that the squirrels keep getting into...im not sure if they are eating them, just relocating them...even the poison caster beans....i keep finding things sprouting where i did not plant them...should b funny but we put so much time and planning into what we want in our gardens and how we want them...seed trading...buying ,etc digging, pulling weeds, clearing large areas, sweating in summer, freezing in winter...in florida..covering everything when its going to frost....i purchased critter ritter this weekend i used it and dont know if it works yet...it is made up af a cayenne pepper mixture, but i can c it will b too xpensive for me to buy freq....it didnt go very far...a small bottle for 18$...any suggestions...i will try chicken wire for the bulbs...but they can still get their greedy little paws thru to the seeds....pesky....

I have a DB who regales me with stories of my SIL and her battles with the squirrels and raccoons.No one ever wins, but the battles rage on! LOL

I sympathize, and don't seem to have as much problem as that. I try not to feed anything to birds that the squirrels will eat too. I now have two cats and a dog- the squirrels are here but nervous. I have a trap I'd rent you. I trapped them in Moms attic with peanuts.

the VARMITS drive me nuts as well. Tried cayenne..didn't work for me. :-((( Last year I watched them PICK and EAT the jalapano peppers off my plant!! If you come up with a good and cheap solution please let me know. Time for squirrel stew. NOT
