When to plant seeds in zone 6?

I live in zone 6. Would like to start seeds in the ground. When is the best time to plant seeds?

Hi Flowermogul! My advice ... If you have I. purpurea seeds, then any time after the last frost. If they are I. nils, they do best in the summer heat. All others can probably be grown after the last frost.

Thanks Becky. My wife has fond memories of growing Morning Glories as a child so I thought we would try them this year.
