i only wish i could - they are really doing some damage this year - with all the snow they were at level with the bird feeders and cleaned them out too
Miscellaneus Shots #1 for 2011
only cracked through water once - did not get in it though - too quick on my ski's :)
In my dreams. I was thinking how impossible that would be for me now. I used to hike in winter.
Take full advantage of all of your balance, nimbleness and flexability while you can.
This advise is for all you spring chicks not just Bill and Victor.
spring chicks? would that make victor and i spring chucks?
you are right joann - i love to get our there as much as i can - have not missed a weekend day since the snow started falling! and i could let myself fall today - had the camera around my neck :)
I hope to go holing soon ad the knee will allow. Nice photo opportunities in the snow.
Same here, Bill. Saw them eating the evergreen holly.
they are tasting everything here - and they did get the leader on the weeping spruce when i checked it yesterday.
LOL "Chucks" LOL
Nice photos, Bill...it felt like I was out there! I hiked behind Black Rock Dam today for the first time in over a month....it hadn't been plowed. But today it was, & I could have walked for hours! Only met one other dog walker, & saw a red tailed hawk....have seen him there quite a few times.....
Wow that's a lot of deer.
Great pics
Andy, thanks, and I do know the birches will resprout. Only one has broken. the others are just bent, but pretty much all the way to the ground. We will cut them down and let them regrow.
Nice pics of your ski outing, Bill. Bummer about all those deer. I would be so mad if I saw them in my yard!
Karen
yelling at you in the first one... cursing you out in the second .... ready to kick butt in the last
:)
Hee hee!
Very nice! I remember when I was a kid, there were no cardinals in CT.....twas a Southern bird.
Great shots everyone...playing catch up here.
Love the Cardinal series!
Great calling going on now. There is hope the snow will end.
Love the cardinal pictures!
the fuzzy head blue jay shot made me giggle
Wow, great shots, Victor....we take blue jays for granted, but they are a stunning bird.....
Thanks. They are usually jumpy too.
Nice shots, Victor. Oh, no, a tree rat! They are cute little buggers, though.
