Black-crested Titmouse this morning on my porch. I'm new, and posted this in daily bird, but I guess it better belongs here - sorry!

So here I am in West coast Florida, thinking the titmice would have left here weeks ago. My cardinal family have been hogging the birdfeeder, with dad and mom trying to teach the youngsters to come and get seeds for themselves.

Then, (would you believe?) in my camera lens, a pair of titmice?? It's 87 deg. outside today, and feeling a lot like summer.

One even came to the feeder along with daddy cardinal!

that's wonderful dyzzy... though the cardinals are still around they no longer come to the feeders. I've finished off my seeds for the season since now the birds can rely on "mother nature" until winter again.
