Suddenly we have small wasps in our bathroom. About 1/2 an inch. black with a white spot on the head. Funny that any insects are around as its been between -10 and 10 degrees here. Does anyone recognize this guy? Thanks in advance - Sarah
CLOSED: CLOSED: wasps in bathroom
This appears to be one of the thread-waisted wasps in the superfamily Sphecoidea. If I can come up with anything more definitive, I'll get back to this one. These may have come indoors earlier in search of shelter.
It was definitely thread waisted. Fortunately, it was not aggressive. Thanks so much for taking a look. Sarah
