Crimson, just about every state has a list of noxious weeds that are not permissable for sale or distribution. Those who sell seeds commercially MUST abide by these rules, which is why you'll sometimes see disclaimers stating they cannot ship any or all plants/seeds to certain states.

Those who trade seeds have an ethical obligation to try to ensure that noxious or invasive plants are not sent to areas where they can run rampant. It's never been tightly monitored, but it's in everyone's best interest to do our part to honor the regulations when we are aware of them.

And as long as the wind blows and the birds fly these idiotic regulations are not useful except for toilet paper.

Here's most of them

Yes indeed, Crimson. And we actually addressed this by adding a field to the Plants Database that allows you to specify that a certain plant is considered invasive.

There's lots of them.

That is an impressive list. What happens if you have them in your garden? Do the plant police come take you away to the plant jail? I hope they have a garden there!
