This is a spotted cucumber beetle, also known as the southern corn rootworm (Diabrotica undecimpunctata howardi; Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae), a serious garden/farm pest species - see http://tinyurl.com/48ocf45 for more details. I think her name may be Bernice.
