I found this insect crawling on my patio chair. It is bright lime green and about 2 inches long. It looks like a leaf hopper but I thought they were much smaller. I live in Colorado in Zone 5. Can anyone identify the exact species?
Thanks!

it's actually a katydid =)
i'm not sure which species, but that should narrow it down for you.

This is a false katydid (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae; subfamily Phaneropterinae); likely a greater angle-wing katydid, Microcentrum rhombifolium - see http://tinyurl.com/4tyq4d3
Thank you! That certainly looks like it.
