I found this one on a playground in Richmond (Melbourne).
The body is about 2 cm and it looks like it was guarding a nest or something like that. So probably female...
Unfortunately I was not even with Google able to identify it.
It might be a tent-web spider or an orb weaving spider, but I am not sure...
Any help highly appreciated.

CLOSED: Can you tell me what Spider this is please?
This is a golden silk orb weaver (family Nephilidae) in the genus Nephila (see http://tinyurl.com/3c43ww). See Nephila ZZ310 at http://tinyurl.com/4qegpdu for a specimen similar to yours. These spiders formerly were placed among the orb weavers in the family Araneidae
Thank you :-)
