I have this one plus another that seems identical except for a radically different abdomen.
CLOSED: Bee, Fly, Bee Fly (?) ID
This fly is in the family Tachinidae; I suspect that it is Trichopoda plumipes - see http://tinyurl.com/28mfd6t for an image. All flies in this family are parasitic on other arthropods, mainly insects.

The link you furnished was from the work of Tom Murray...his work is outstanding and his ID's seem to be quite reliable. He stops his ID's, as you do, when he gets beyond the comfort zone.
