Burd & lionhrt Here are some i got the other day, not so good thats why i didn't post them. I seen her flying away at 9:00 this morning from my window then i was out most of the day. When i got back i sat out there for a half hour didn't see her. I did get a few pictures today. In the morning im going to try switching the feeders around to see if she lands on the other one. Otherwise all the pictures look the same. She go's to the same spot every time, and if i sit on the other side i can't see her. Here i also have a few pictures that i took through a pair of bino's... lol i just had to make sure i got some kind of a picture. Now that i know she comes every day i just sit, and wait for her.

Pic. No. 2 in this last set is good enough for me to call it a female Painted Bunting. She must like your backyard to stick around...will she let you get closer? Nice shots!

Of course now you'll have every NJ birder come knocking on your door to see it . . . ;-)

At least ones closer to North Jersey! Wish I was closer.

What would happen if a male shows up?

Even more NJ birders would want to visit!

That apart, the two might squabble a bit over food, but there looks to be plenty for both.

It's so true! Last year a woman in Chicago had a Harris' Sparrow in her yard and people were coming every day. Serious birders, so respectful of the yard. Still, amazing chance to meet other birders.

Wow, jzoo85, you started off with a BANG. Lots of great pix. Like others said, you need to be on the Daily Threads.

Here's the current one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1148426/

And if you have trouble with a bird ID, take it to http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/birdid/all/

There are tons of real nice folks on here.

Glad to meet you.
