Wonderful photos, Gary. You should start a competition - who gets the most accurate count of the flock in the trees.
Great photos Gary!!
Thanks for taking so much time to find the birds !
So pretty with the frozen frost!
I wasn't able to get any good closeups today. There were lots of birds, but they were very "flighty" moving in waves every few minutes. When a Raven would fly over, 1000',s of birds would take flight, and circle the area. I'm hoping the beautiful hoarfrost will last one more day. I still want the "perfect" shot.

Gorgeous scenes Gary!
I have been enjoying your beautiful photos each day. Waxwings are not seen in my parts, but a couple summers ago we had a flock of Cedar Waxwings in a tree in our back yard. They were such attractive birds and I was surprised by their flock... we do not see flocking like that normally unless it is time to migrate. But it was the flocking behavior that helped me to determine from the bird descriptions that in fact I just id'd a Waxwing,
Your photos of these charming birds are awesome!
I have only seen cedar waxwings one time in my life. It was a small flock feeding on berries in the local mall parking lot. What is a good shrub that would help attract them to my yard? They are so beautiful, I love their little mask!
I am enjoying your pics very much.

Thank you so very much for sharing such beautiful pics. I have both Cedar and Bohemian Waxwings on my life list but to see them in such numbers would indeed be an experience to remember.
Gorgeous photos with the hoarfrost, Gary. I've seen the Bohemian Waxwing a few time this winter, but my crabapples have not produce much fruits. Their visit was short lived. I've set up a fruit basket with apples and grapes, a few days ago, in the hope, to lure them in.
No sighting of the Pine Grosbeak yet this winter. Have you seen any?
