Cutting how to's? (peperomia)

Yorba Linda, CA

Sorry for what sounds like a really beginner question, but I'm not familiar with specifics on peperomia. I figured I would ask before putting my plants under the knife.

I have several species, creeping/trailing and upright.

1. I have a number of them that have grown out from cuttings, to lengths of 10" or more, currently in hanging baskets. I'd like to further increase the quantities of these plants that I have. Most of my peperomia were originally acquired as tip cuttings. Many of these plants have 10" of tailing stem now, with 6-8 nodes of leaves along the length of them. I'm assuming those are also roots I'm seeing growing out of each node, some rather lengthy now.

Can I cut one of those 10" lengths of stem into 6-8 separate cuttings with each node of course being my guide for how many cuttings I make? I do that with my IVY plants, just Ginsu the little buggers with a knife and cut the trailing stem at each leaf node, plant, done.

2. Is there a method to tell which peperomia can be propagated by simply cutting leaves for starters, and those that need lengths of stems?

3. On peperomia, what becomes of the 'stump' I create on the parent plant when I cut it off for rooting. Is it now a dead end? I know many plants when trimmed back will spread out and grow new branches etc. Do peperomia do the same?

thanks.
