CLOSED: ID assistance-Possible Assassin Bug nymph?

Severna Park, MD(Zone 7a)

I feel totally incompetent when trying to ID the creatures I have photographed. Even when I come up with what appears to be an ID, I have utterly no confidence in my choice. The options for what any bug might be are staggering and frightening to a novice such as I am.

I am amazed at the abilities of some of you! Any help will be most appreciated.

As far as I can find, your bug is Zelus luridus, an assasin bug. I would wait for suunto or someone to confirm.

Very welcome!

This does indeed appear to be a nymph of Zelus luridus - see http://tinyurl.com/2eanqc4 for an image.

Thanks, suunto!
