Hi, I found this creature in my back porch. I would like to know what it is and if it is dangerous or not.

This is a larva of a polyphemus moth, Antheraea polyphemus (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae). They are not dangerous in any respect, except perhaps to the tree leaves that they feed upon. See http://tinyurl.com/yemaua9 for more detailed information.
