CLOSED: Wingless Six Legged Insect ID

Benicia, CA

It has a head like a large ant and some strong jaw (bit my leg and hurt!)

I want to say it's a termite, but the body was so long, i couldn't really find any termite that looked similar.

very long body with yellow/black/brown rings. Body seemed soft.

This is a larva of a snakefly (order Raphidioptera); these are general predators on other small arthropods, and thus usually considered beneficial. See http://tinyurl.com/2fjcleo for another example (not the same species as yours). Their bite is harmless to humans.
