I have seen this before but was quite elusive. Today, I was able to take a shot close enough when it was resting.

Hard to shoot it in flight. But you can see the orange wings.

This moth is in the family Noctuidae; it could be Eudocima materna - see http://tinyurl.com/2cy4djw and http://tinyurl.com/2fcczm2 for images. Your third photo is of an egg case (ootheca) of a praying mantis.
