Does anyone know what these green bees are? They have the most beautiful florescent green color on their heads. In Central FL - Gulf coast.
thanks,

CLOSED: Green Bees?
These are in the family Halictidae, commonly known as 'sweat bees.' Yours may be in the genus Agapostemon - see http://tinyurl.com/2ckkmk8 for an example. They may be small, but their sting packs a mighty wallop!
Oh, very cool! Thanks! So far, they've been quite friendly, but I definately won't aggitate them!
