SNOW

Well am I the only one who woke up to an inch of snow on the ground this morning? Whats the weather like for everyone else? the darn white stuff is still coming down. That ends the seeds collecting for me this year.

We are 50 degrees, very sunny!!! windy, breezy, beautiful, feels like fall... winter's coming, hurrah!

this past week we've gone from 92 and sunny to 55 and clouds. but, as always with texas, winter may not get here till january :-)

how many thanksgivings and christmas days can i remember wearing a tank top? too many!

Hi Sledder and all I am some miles south of you in Beaver Falls on the MD border and it will snow here tonight. It is cold and very windy and 49 here. I covered all my inside plants that are still out because ts to get better tomorrow. We had our first snow on Oct 9 last year.

Windy cold and cloudy here. 40 degrees now and expect it to be really cold tonight with some snow.Killerdaisy and Sledder, wait another month and I'll send all the snow you want.

I woke up to snow flakes up in Tawas and came home to a devastating garden-Jack blankety blank Frost was here and ran through my garden touching everything...WHAAAAAAAAAAN!
Now I have to dig the cannas,brug,glads, dahlias and everything else that needs stored for the winter.
*SIGH* he could have waited another week!

We had snow here this morning and it was very pretty. Looked like one of those glass balls that you shake to make them snow. It's just cold and suuny now.

We didn't get an inch, but it is still flurrying off and on. I took a picture of the snow on the new bricks, but the darned camera flashed and it's mostly brightly lit windowscreen! I suspect that summer is really and truly over for now!

Wow! We're expecting our frist frost here tonight! BOO-HOO!!!

I woke up to 30 degrees and boy did it feel like it too. I really dislike winter. I don't get to go outside in the winter. The good thing though is that I have some projects planed for this winter.

I played in my garden "all" day. Dug up some plants that were done for the season, picked off some seed heads of an assortment of flowers and turned and mulched one of the new beds. The weather was in the low 70's with a slight breeze and perfect gardening weather.

I didn't have a big dinner planned for tonite, so I worked outside till dusk...I just didn't want to come inside tonite. LOL

Just checked the temperature. It's now 28 degrees and falling. It hailed really hard late this afternoon and now it is snowing lightly.Ohhhh, where has summer gone?

I don't know where summer went but I wish it would come back. I really do not mind winter, I just hate the short days.

trailingon I agree with you, I hate the time between 4:30 and dark, it's depressing. Once it gets dark I'm fine, because the lights in the house make it look warm and cosey again.

Well it is in the 40 now, sunny with temps in the 50 today.
Too late been playing Christmas music for a couple of weeks now as I just had a Holiday open house with my gift lines left over from when I have my shop. Christmas just seems to get here and be gone so quickly that I am guilty of paying Christmas music all year round really.I know I need plantaholics AA and Now Christmasaholics AA as well LOL

I think I'd rather have snow than hail. We've been getting it off and on since Sunday. I will gladly trade this weather for some Texas sunshine...

I spent the weekend with family (Thanksgiving) in central Ontario and they too had snow on Sunday. Thankfully by the time we were heading south again Monday afternoon, the white stuff had all mellted. I did return to the results of a hard frost here however :(

Ah, I'm not alone anymore. My gardens froze last week before I left on a business trip and I was really bummed out about it. Now I come home and find that others are in the same boat. I'm sorry about your gardens, as well as mine. It's raining a little here now, and I fully expect to wake up to a winter wonderland. Oh well, time to dig out the scrapbook stuff again. I have to get my daughter's book up to date before she graduates in May anyway. LOL

I've been extending some flower beds today. It was 78.
Hardly seems like fall. I know I'm going to get caught without doing all the fall chores when a sudden frost hits.
It's beautiful now though!
