I know this is a long shot, but my wife is currently TDY in San Antonio and had an encounter with a somewhat large spider (larger than what we are used to) that she said looked like a tarantula. I'm sure she meant appearance rather than size, judging from the photograph. Anywho, I have attached the image. It is not very good quality, so I don't know if anyone would be able to come close to identifying it, but I figured it was worth a shot.

By all appearances, this is a mygalomorph spider, the group to which tarantulas belong. However, the image is not clear enough for a more definitive identification.
