SANTAS WORKSHOP CAFE

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Well, I dont know about you, but I had to get out of the GARAGE cafe. Things had piled up in there so much, could not hardly move. Between the mower needing repairs on one bench, the big mower deck on another and the craft table piled high now with Christmas in sight, Jeez, there's hardly room for lunch. And yano, Thanksgiving is not even here yet......

Sounds like the annual Holiday pile up to me...

So what are you up to?

Good morning!! Last check in before I leave. If I get Rudolf, I'll take pictures.

Ft Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10a)

Just another sunny 65 degree morning in South Florida. Lots of sun and little rain the past 1-2 weeks. Already have the Christmas tree up. Like to enjoy it since it does take some time to get it up and decorated. Flowers are happier now that it's cooler and the Ranunculus bulbs from last year have popped back up above ground. Still quite a few empty spaces that need to be filled with "something" for color.

Well, looks like we-ins here are in a drought. Woke up to fog this morning and some frost. The frost and fog has been the most moisture in months. Man this is the driest we have been in years. Someone the other day said they were wishing for snow. While I am not crazy for snow, blowing snow would be a heck of a lot better than the blowing sand blasting we are feeling here. My thoughts right now, I wish I was heading to FL chasing the tail of a one of my snowbirds.

I have not even gotten to getting the tree stand out. Frankly, I am not too sure where I could put it. Still cleaning up after the Mickey party. Making headway there. Least the odor has tamed down and well, things have gotten vacuumed and part of the carpets are done.

Worked up a few more loofas yesterday. They are drying, but not all that wonderful in color.. some are an icky brown. A few got some mold and some are just not peelable yet.

I need to water my indoor plants.. oh that will be a joy since the imps need pruning again already. I wish I had a running GH. I would be doing cuttings but today, the cuttings are getting tossed. they look rather Christmassy! I hope they wil ltime their next wave of bloom for the Holyday.

My outdoor pansys are doing qiute well and guess Im a gonna have to start feeding the punkins to the chickens.. got enough to last for a couple months...

Well, Jon, looks like your up to a game of bowling since you are the lucky Elf number one with the tree up! When you get done, theres some cookies and milk on the kitchen counter.

So whats playing on the juke?

looks like rain...much needed rain.

Ft Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10a)

Much needed rain here today. Not lots, but enough to back up the need for watering a couple of days.

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Got some rain here, dont nkow how much, but things have tamed down in the dust bowl situation. Need more rain though.

So hows your game Jon? I just put up the pins again....or has that thang driven you totally nuts!

Ft Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10a)

My game is rusty. Too many splits and not enough strikes. Can't believe the neighbor beat me at getting the Christmas lights up outside. Their house is lit up already!!! People start pretty early down here since the weather is always good for decorating outside. I'm sure things will be in full swing by the end of this coming weekend. They usually appear over Thanksgiving weekend.

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Been doing my cards already..

ok. lets use reverse bowlingtactics.. who can get teh lowest score!

Hows 61!

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

SO, how was Thanksgiving?

Ft Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10a)

Thanksgiving was good. Spent it next door with the neighbors. Fourteen people and 5 dogs in total. Dinner was served buffet style. Stayed about 3 1/2 hours and then came home and sat outside for awhile looking at the Christmas lights in the neighborhood. Was Thanksgiving good for you Blossom?

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

As I was saying, Thanksgiving was spent with a widowed friend of mine from church. She had her boys over and we had a lovely dinner and chat. She is a wonderful cook. Thought I died and went to heaven on that meal! She had the traditional turkey, stuffing, a corn cassereole, taters, yams, jellows, cottage cheese, busquites, punkin pie punkin cake and all absolutely scrumptous.

Friday I spent doing Christmas cards and I did a little shopping. Im not into the crowds of Black Friday. Pressure shopping to boost the economy to me is idiotic. The retailers here have had Christmas out for weeks already.... so I only bought groceries. Shopping makes me grinchy.

Saturday was spent cleaning house, I have won the war on the mice and started bringing out the Christmas tree, nativities and all that good stuff that is CHRISTMAS. My favorite is the nativity. I wish I had a large yard display. Told my hub that that would be awesome. Santa Clause displays are getting passe at our age.

Nice shots marti!
