This little guy was on my lanai. He was approximately the size of a lady bug. Black with white spider web design on his back. Shaped like a crab. Had trouble righting himself when I flipped him over to see what was his black underside. Very interested in getting away rather than taking an aggressive posture like many other spiders I've encountered. Please ID. Thanks in advance.
CLOSED: Type of Crab Spider?
This is a spinybacked orbweaver (family Araneidae) in the genus Gasteracantha; likely the introduced species, Gasteracantha cancriformis - see http://tinyurl.com/22m649w
