Yes, they are, but these were no bigger than a small marigold! I'm laughing at your description, Pirl....I have a heuchera doing that right now.......
What worked and what didn't?
Is it 'Snow Angel', Marilyn? If so, mine bit the dust the same exact way.
Looks like another lovely painting JoAnn. Post again when you have finished okay. Really nice work.
Lovely work, as usual, Jo Ann.
Marilyn - I'm only laughing because we've both been through it with heuchera.
Beautiful botanical, Marilyn. Do you sell them?
I do, Pirl....I belong to our town's Fine Arts Connection, & we hang our pictures in our town hall's gallery.....
You're a terrific student!
We keep cross posting, Marilyn.
It's so nice when people share their talent with others.
Thanks....my teacher is a well-known botanical artist....she's done work for WFF, and has had her work accepted in some prestigious botanical shows in NYC....I've been studying with her for 6 years......
Beautiful paintings ladies!!!
So many talented people around here. Beautiful botanical and I love that fall landscape painting. Such lovely vivd color. Oh and Pirl is no slouch with a camera either. Great work by all.
Thank you!
Thanks, Pat!

Thanks.
Don't know where I should ask this....
my brother's neighbor had planted running bamboo, so of course taking over their enitre tiny backyard and now coming up into brother's yard....or so they thought....the canes look like bamboo(sorry no pic) but they don't get hard like regular bamboo and the leaves look similiar to elephant ears...what could it be?
invasive
har har...that helps just sooooo much....
Japanese knotweed....impossible to eradicate!
;)....for Jen
Here is a list of some offenders that might help ID any invaders and also prevent purchase. Some are very pretty. http://www.fs.fed.us/database/feis/plants/weed/index.html
brush be gone!
Some of those plants are very hard to get rid of....but I won't be planting Giant Hogweed anytime soon.....
With a wooded property we have been fighting buckthorn for over 30 yrs. Definately enemy #1.
Love that orange and purple together..which variety of Coneflower is that? I see what appears to be a double one in front..which ones is that? The others are all singles..which hyssop is that?
What ? image are you referring to?
The last post on here was over a month ago.
Hi Pippi, just guessing here but I think the conflower is either 'Coral Reef' or 'Marmalade'.
Pat(ngam) can tell you for sure.
Hey Pippi, to answer your question the echinaceas are 'Marmalade' for the double bloom and the other is 'Tangerine Dream'. They were both new last season so I am hoping they return. The agastache is 'Black Adder' and was also new to that bed.
nice
