Anyone know what type insect this is? Gave my son quite a scare, so we decided to bring it inside and take some pics of it.

Any help is appreciated. Dennis

It's hard to tell for sure but it looks like a wheelbug.

A predator insect...one of the good guys. Not poisonous, but can inflict a painful bite if mis-handled.
