Hello...

I am new to this section. Would like to know about this butterfly ID.
My friends got it in the middle of the jungle, near the coal mining area

Would you please tell me the ID ^^

Wow, he's very pretty! He looks to be an Indonesian Moon Moth (Actias maenas.)

The moth are released soon after the capture, I think they are best to keep free.

yes that is great. They don't not feed. Their sole purpose in life is to reproduce. They hatch, mate, lay eggs, and die usually in about a 10 to 14 day period of time
