I entered five photos for the Calendar Photo Contest this year. With all the wonderful pic's I have seen on this forum I hope all of you will consider posting your pic's and voting as well...Haystack. I put pic's on Birds, Sunset, and funny Misc. There is a wonderful assortment of headings...

LFG, The heading Birds is for poulty of all kinds, so please add your pic's. Just click on Birds and you can post your best two, You can also go to the fun category to enter any funny pic of your birds. The category's are numerous so please enter. This forum should take some first place pic's on the Calendar...Hay
What about Horses? would that be domestic pets and animals? just sayin that the pic of Billy riding Chief would be good
Theres a category for landscape and terrain I think, so why couldn't Billy and Chief be part of the landscape? Yes Miss Jester there is one for domestic pets and animals so please enter your pic's...Lovely, lets all get our pic's in. Also don't forget to vote, voting starts Tuesday.

I had to go into extras to find it to vote. They don't have it as a header today and voting started today hmmmmmm

Does a lot of good to have a photo contest if the dang things won't open! I'm so disgusted with DG for that..
I just sent a message tell them I would not vote even though I entered several pic's as the voting process is just plain stupid and defies common sense. I'm so ticked at this DG Site I have smoke comming out of my ears... I can hardly justify being here anymore...Haystack
Hay You first choose those pictures you like and then you choose the 3 you like the best and place then 1,2 3. this is how you vote.
Thanks Wren, I did that but it took me an hour and fifteen minutes just to do one category. That is just dumb, and way to long of a process for me. I just lost interest with the process, also I was angry that they posted how to enter the contest but never gave any infor on how to vote. The whole situation is ill planned and redundnt...Hay
My complaint is the dang pictures won't load!!!! I can't see anything to vote on!
hmmmmmmm I am not having any problems. Are you doing it by individaul pics or the thumbnail page. Do by individual pics does take for ever Hay. Use the thumb nail and click on the pics you want to a larger view of.
I voted using the thumbnail method.. I wish I'd seen this sooner.. My old computer has some amazing photos.. :( I didn't realize... ah how time flies when you're havin fun! LOL
Donna, I can't use the thumbnail. I can't see well enough to know what pic's I want to enlarge. I just don't think the whole thing is set up to be friendly user nor do I applaude the effort one goes thru to find out how to vote... I'm simply infuriated with this site...Hay
Hay use a magnifying glass. Sure a lot faster than going through every single pic. I just open the ones that really stand in the thumb nail. Those are the good pics usually
I'm not using a magnifying glass...LOL as you can see I have the ability to be emotional...LOL. OK Donna I have settled down now and can be civil once again...Trust me the people on this forum are the ones that keep me in line and my feet on green terrafirma...A big thanks to all of you who are responsible for that...Hay
Voteing method sucks! But what a lot of wonderful pictures. I especially enjoyed the gardens and the domestic pets. The containers where yummy. Great pics everyone. So hard to choose, they were all so good.
Glad you're feeling better, Hay. Computer stuff, BAH! Had a hard time figuring out how to vote too but in the end just enjoyed the pictures instead. It has to be super stupid easy for me to figure out, and it wasn't. Not only were there some great pictures but there are some outstanding photographers on DG, wow!
Are you by chance making fun of those that use a magnifying glass??? I use one often, even with my glasses on LOL!!!! I used it yesterday checking the chickens bottoms, my DH said he's seen it all now!!

ROFL Hay I use magnifying glass all the time but not for looking at chicken butts, but then again I would if I had a need to. My chickens health is very important to me

I wish I had a magnifying glass.. I'm sure I have like 3 somewhere well hidden. I do, however, have a nice supply of dollar store glasses in every strength imaginable.. The trick is finding the right pair for the job..

lol my mom would wear dollar store glasses over her old prescription ones. I finally made her go see my Eye Specialist and get what she needed.
When I went to the optometrist, he told me to get store bought! The power he prescribed is perfect for distance.. and the ones for reading are perfect.. I just had to settle on a strength for the computer.. :) Not as strong as the reading, and a little stronger than the distance ones. :)
