Little Pedro's Sleeping Now

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Just wanted to let you all know that my little Pedro died on Sat. He had not been acting sick at all. He just layed down in his little bed and didn't wake up. Guess I should have known that would be the way he would go. He never was one to make a fuss or want to be a bother. All he ever asked for was a lap to sit on and someone to be near. I will miss my sweet boy.

I posted this link below, but thought I'd post it here because I don't want this to be such a sad thread. Pedro was a funny little fellow and I'll always remember his as a little clown and a joy to have around.

For Pedro "Where To Bury a Dog"

If you bury him in this spot, he will come to you when you call.
Come to you over the grim, dim frontiers of death,
and down the well-remembered path to your side again.
And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel, they shall
not growl at him, nor resent his coming, for he belongs there.
People may scoff at you, who see no lightest blade of grass
bent by his footfall, who hear no whimper; people who may never really
have had a dog. Smile at them, for you shall know something that is
hidden from them, and which is well worth the knowing. The one best
place then, to bury a dog, is in the heart of his master....
