This little beauty was found in central Washington State (near Cle Elum) at about 3500' elevation. I've never seen anything so spectacular and was able to get a good shot with my macro lens. It was about 1" long. Does anyone know what it might be?

This is a caterpillar of a tussock moth (Lepidoptera: Lymantriidae) in the genus Orygia - see http://tinyurl.com/26y38uj for an example.
