I see these around the yard in slowly increasing numbers... thought they were instars of something else, but now it appears they just get bigger with age and look pretty much the same.
Who is this little sap sucker?
It looks to me like one of the Assassin Bugs (Reduviidae)
I didn't know they made them this small (bout 1/2")... or 2cm in length
Definitely an assassin bug; likely in the genus Zelus - see http://tinyurl.com/24wgjtc for an example.
