I have several unusual vines I'd like to take cuttings from to root for next year. Is it too late? I have a neat mat and plant light I can start them on then move to lighted shelves once they root. I don't want to be whacking pieces off if they're not going to take.

Too late to root?
I recommend using a digital thermostat with the heating mat, and use a light timer to simulate a "long" day. What are the vines you want to propagate, do they normally go dormant during the winter?
Hawiian Sunset vine, chalic cup vine, easter lily vine, red nasturium/thunbergia(altho it's not very big yet),candy corn vine so may have to wait on this one.The first 3 were growing fine outside on the patio all summer but really took off when I put them in the lean-to for winter. Presently the Haw. Sunset is trying to eat the lean-to w/ the easter lily not very far behind.
