I haven't pinned any stems down yet. I think I'll try pinning those long necks down now instead or reburying them. Thanks!

Hi girls,Looks like we're all going to learn about trailers as we go.Trial and erra kind of thing. The AVSA has a cd about growing trailers, the Bill Price way,who is a great grower but the darn thing is 20 bucks.I have read on another group that it's good but geez 20.00 worth of good? LOL.

I'm completely new at African violets but received some leaves. One of those being Shiawassee Trail. If it's ok I will be on the sidelines seeing how everything develops. I just potted them up yesterday.

Hey Roly!! No need to set on the sidelines. You can join us while waiting on those babies to pop up. This project will take time to do please jump in with questions or comments as this goes along.

Yes, please join in! It takes quite a while. For example, here is Rob's miriwinni in a 6 inch bulb pan that I began from a small starter plant 1 year ago. It's recovering from a severe trim.

I need help!! I started with leaves in soil many months ago and they are now firm in the soil but never any new shoots coming up from them. I do love African violets but do not know how to propagate them!! I would appreciate any help one and all could give me. Thanks loads. Shleigh

What soil are yours in (mostly perlite great)? How close to light (10 inches best), in a baggy (humidity)? I usually always see babies within 3 months, unless the leaf rotted away. Give us a picture.
