CLOSED: What spider is this?

Salem, OR

Hey everyone...

Caught this spider in my bathroom. I couldn't find out what kind it is. The body looked ant- like and had a yellow line on it. Was about the size of an adult's thumb (the top piece). I live in Salem Oregon.

Sorry for the blurry picture, it would be awesome to find out what kind it is. Thanks!

Unfortunately, your image is too fuzzy for a definitive identification, Just as a guess, compare your spider with an image of Steatoda borealis at http://tinyurl.com/2g83sq6

Thanks for the reply!! I think you are right... I looked at some more pictures and this one looks pretty much exactly like "my" spider. The white/yellow line is typical and I clearly remember seeing it on the spider (you can see it a little on the blurry pic). The good news is that they are not very poisonous and they prey on black widows....

Well, a mystery has been solved and I'm a little less afraid of spiders.

Thanks!

The second image looks like Steatoda triangulosa, a very common and widespread species - see http://tinyurl.com/23sfx45
