Propagate cigar plant from cutting?

League City, TX(Zone 9a)

Hello everyone. I have a David Verity cigar plant, and would like to propagate it via cuttings if possible. Does anyone know if this is possible, or is there another method that is preferred?

I have not had time to browse this forumn since I am at work right now but this question came to mind and I wanted to see if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

It should root fine with a rooting hormone and moist media, we used Cuphea in our plant prop class this year and we had mist beds but I wouldnt think that it would be required, just cut the leaves in half to help it from losing moisture as it roots, everyone's took very easily and quickly, you may want to be sure you put it so you have at least one node underground and no leaves. We also learned the length of a cutting can make a difference - you dont want one real long, just a few inches (dessication becomes an issue). Im sure others can chime in with their experiences at home too.
