Here is a pic from today in San Diego, CA. Found it on my green pepper plant. There was a small web near it, but the front 4th set of legs may have been antennae, not sure they were as long as the other sets of legs. Can anyone help identify. I will try to get a better picture, but he was shy and kept running around the plant away from my camera. Thanks for your input.
Strange bug.
This is a good guy (or gal...); it's a nymph of an assassin bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Reduviidae). These are general predators on other small arthropods.
Wonder if it might be in the Zelus Genus, possibly Zelus renardii, the Leafhopper Assassin Bug ?
Hard to tell because photo not sharp, but the shape kind of looks like it.
