hobo spider? need identification.

Encinitas, CA

Confused if this is a giant house spider, hobo spider, or some other species. Found this sucker on my floor around 3-4 am.

note: I live in cali so I am aware a hobo spider is very rare. However last year I did some traveling and shipped some boxes so maybe it tagged along.

Here is some extra pics of the front and back.

Hi Donna,

Thanks for the link. I actually had been looking at that site recently, and I still can't figure it out. I found this good PDF format article with close up views or a hobo spider, but I'm just not skilled enough in this area. There are many different spiders that look alike, however, they all look the same to me!

Hopefully someone can figure it out

This spider does not appear to be in the family Agelenidae, let alone a Tegenaria sp. You might try scrolling through the images at http://tinyurl.com/cjcxds
