I had already labeled the photo as being pollen cones, but I frankly do not know!!! I have looked at other pix on DG, as well as other Internet sites. I am still not certain, so I would much appreciate help.
The tree is 20 years old, and I have never seen anything resembling a seed cone. However, if this is happening in the winter, I am not outside! This year I will make a point of keeping track of what is happening.
Thank you!
Tree is Cedrus deodara - the copyright is covering up that information.

Male or female!
Yep, pollen cones
PS spellcheck: deodara ;-)
Resin
Forgot to mention - it is still too young to have seed cones. Deodar Cedars rarely produce any before about 30 years old (I won't say never, but only very rarely)
Resin
Thanks, Resin - and that would include the spell check. I am SO anal when others make errors that I truly appreciate the heads up!!!! I also appreciate knowing that my tree is not as mature as I might have thought.
